If he cut spending, helped families with raising of their children in a way that works not supporting social experimentations that all evidence suggests will do harm to our society.
If he were not an idea-log who demonizes those who disagree with him. If he honored Freedom of Information requests on what lobbyist have visited him in the White House.
Well then I would not have a problem with him. But that is not who he is, although it may be a facade he will try to wear. And, I do not underestimate his abilities to pretend to be something he is not. But, you can not fool all of the people all of the time.
… The GOP had the brilliant idea to have a question and answer session with Barack Obama and have it televised. This would have been a brilliant idea except the GOP was out maneuvered and had the tables turned on them. Obama was ready, his answers to the Republican questions prepared and delivered to perfection (for his target audience that is). The Republicans looked neutered and that is what made the video a perfect fund-raising and moral-raising piece for Obama. …
Now the GOP should know not to underestimate Obama.
Long term I see this as material for the GOP. He will again IMHO not live up to the rhetoric on the campaign trail.
Right Wing Agenda adds this:
The budget just submitted to Congress includes a $1.5 trillion deficit for 2010, $1.1 trillion in tax increases, and consumes 80% of America’s gross domestic product. Then Obama has the audacity (of hope) to say the budget was compiled just like any responsible family would do it. It seems to me that Obama is living in fantasy land… or we are seeing Orwellian doublespeak being spun right before our eyes with nefarious intent.
