They have elected to sue the investigators who video taped their employees breaking the law. The defense will be able to request discovery information, depose witnesses and work their way up the chain of command to see how far the up the corruption goes.

Judicial Watch has filed for Freedom of Information documents with HUD for documents regarding HUD.
1. Any and all documents concerning money given to the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN) and/or any of its affiliates (since January, 2000).
2. Any and all documents concerning any actions and/or disbarments against ACORN, for reasons including but not limited to abuse of grant money, misconduct, etc. (since January, 2000).
IRS Cuts ties with ACORN
The Internal Revenue Service said Wednesday it would no longer include ACORN in its volunteer tax assistance program. The program offered free tax advice to about 3 million low- and moderate-income tax filers this spring.
The IRS said ACORN, which is short for the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now, provided help on about 25,000 returns.

In the mid 1990s, ACORN and the SEIU partnered with other leftist groups to help form the Marxist New Party, a political coalition. In 1995, Obama sought out their nomination. He was successful in obtaining that endorsement and used a number of New Party volunteers as campaign workers.
The fact that Obama received the New Party’s endorsement in his first run for office cannot be dismissed as insignificant.
