Gerrymandering, Census, Acorn … Jeffersonian Terrorists

Ah, it is early yet, but if you want to get an idea of what is going to proceed the 2010 election The Redistricting Game will give you some a good understanding of what issues will be placed on the table.

Global Warming trial dubbed Monkey Trial 2.0

Global Warming is going to get their day in court. Although they don’t want one. There tactics of fear by playing fast and loose with the facts or even creating facts out of thin air does not line itself up well with rules that are used in court. Where opinions can not be represented as fact and those who hold the globe is warming and the ocean will rise 3 feet in New York and 3 1/2 feet in Florida, are subject to cross examination.

While Al-Gore can go on TV and say the all scientist agree that the globe is warming, doing so after being sworn in to tell the truth is perjury. In fact with temperatures having gone down on average since 1998 can they get any scientists to testify under oath that the planet is warming?

The Chicken came first?

This is clearly a fake, Although apricot trees share a lot of DNA with both chickens and people. They do not have the DNA to produce chickens; only other apricot trees.

lrg_apricot_embryo

You can not create the DNA information to build a chicken from a apricot by mutations of apricot DNA.

Although you can selectively breed apricots to vary the size of the fruit and other characteristics, You may even be able to vary it to the extent that it is different enough from other apricots to call it a different type IE (spotted apricot like we call spotted owls a different type of owl). It still is of the “kind” of apricot and can reproduce only with apricot pollen.

Obamacare High School clinics and abortion

The denial that abortion is in Obamacare has gotten to the point that it is silly. Just look at what has already been said to planned parenthood and other pro abortion groups - the not unintended consequence of the nationalization of health care is that the Government decides what services are included on every person’s health coverage – this aspect is being sold as “how” the government will reduce the cost of health care – and the reason that critics say Obamacare is health care rationing.

The only argument that Obamacare does not include federally funded abortion is about the definition of  “federally funded.” On that point the federal government would not pay for “A” abortion, but rather pay for health insurance that “includes a legal procedure” of abortion.

PG 994 “School Based Health Clinic” - will be integrated into the school environment a health care solution.  What this does is puts medical care into the school system. The type of care would be what is approved and legal – Roe vs Wade makes abortion legal.

We already have schools participation in abortions without parent consent – We also have numerous cases of Planned Parenthood failing to notify authorities of statutory rape. These are the current battle lines for parental rights.

We know that when children are enable to do self destructive behavior they are easy targets. If that were not the case we would not need laws against assisting in the “Juvenile Delinquency” of minors. Regardless schools are allowed to pass out condoms and not required to teach abstinence. The reality is that those who want to teach abstinence are mocked by those who want to encourage teen sex.

Now what would an educated prognosis be about the effect of Obamacare as it is written with no words restricting abortion in any manner. On the current problem of teen promiscuity (it would be silly to argue that promiscuity leads to anything other than an increase of abortions and pregnancy).

How to Argue Like Jesus: Learning Persuasion from History’s Greatest Communicator

I’ve created a Wish List on Amazon.com I could really use  “How to Argue Like Jesus: Learning Persuasion from History’s Greatest Communicator”

Defeating Alinsky – Are you good test

Draft

We have all sinned and come short of the glory of God.  The Good Test but that does not mean we can not speak out against wrong.  No matter what has proceeded. Even if we failed to speak against something that was wrong before, our mistake to speak out earlier does not mean something is correct. Maybe we failed to see why it was wrong before, we did not have a complete understanding because we did not take the issue to heart; but we are told to turn away from sin and sin no more. We can not speak against something that is wrong until we understand it as wrong, then we must speak.

An argument that a wrong that took place yesterday justifies a wrong today, will lead to a world that is falling into an increasing in sin and suffering. An argument against wrongs because they are wrong leads to a better world.

The rhetoric Jesus used when they wanted to stone an adulterous woman was “Let him who is without sin case the first stone”

We are forgiven of passed sin through faith in Jesus. If we speak based on our convictions based on the holy spirit and based on scriptural truth, then we are messengers of the truth. We must turn away from what is false but even a reformed adulterous can speak against adultery. In fact a reformed person may uniquely be able to speak to those who are unreformed because it is clear he understands the other person.

Humility is more powerful than pride.

The Constitution Obama’s real Waterloo – Updated with with lawyer Michael Farris video

By what authority does Obama have to create a mandate a requirement for doctors to talk to the elderly about end of life care?

By what authority does Obama have to dictate to insurance companies what service they will offer?

A glance at the Ten Amendment tells us “The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.”

Madison when addressing concerns of critics concerned about Government abuse of general power clause said, “For what purpose could the enumeration of particular powers be inserted, if these and all others were meant to be included in the preceding general power?” He continued, “Nothing is more natural nor more common than first to use a general phrase, and then to explain and qualify it by a recital of particulars.”

“You have to look to the Constitution and ask, ‘Is health care listed?’” Boldin said. “No. It’s not.”

In 1798 when the federal government passed the Alien and Sedition Acts,

Thomas Jefferson and James Madison wrote the Kentucky and Virginia Resolutions saying, you can’t do this; we’re not going to abide by this in our states. Jefferson specifically said the people in our country are not united on the principle of unlimited submission to their general government. The same holds true today. We’re not subjects.”

The Tenth Amendment provides the people with a level of freedom from the tyrannical nature of Obama’s Politics. It is needed as much today as when it was written.

Obama Health care supporters against Obamacare death panels?

I’ve seen many posts coming out on HMO horror stories; they are providing ammunition for the fight. Nobodies health care  should be decided by a third party, a  cost benefit panel should not make life and death decisions about the care of a individual because it saves money.

There are such panels; however, in a free market one can get care at a different facility. The problem with a Nation Health Panel is there is no alternatives. When one single payer system exists, there is no other place to go for people on limited incomes. The rich will still be able to get care, they can afford to pay both for the care and the “tax” of not using the public option.

The problem of death panels can not be solved by putting everybody under a single nationalized system. A system that in order to control costs contains a panel to control costs. Costs will be a factor and doctors will be graded based on their compliance to the nationalized system. How hypocritical to fight against death panels with a death panel that is tyrannical – where people can not opt out.

Defeating Alinsky with the promise of new life

Want to help save the country or change the world? The world is big, and we are small. Try to plant only 1 square mile in a day … how much we will be able to do is just a small part; But, we can help although the bulk of the effort is not ours. We have been demoralized to believe that our efforts our in vain because we can not plant a whole square mile in a day, our hundred seeds are indeed only a small contribution. But like a child who helps his father farm, his father will be proud of our effort.

Our part in changing the world is to love thee neighbor, pray to God to help us with our sin. And, tell those we come in contact with that their sins can be forgiven, that they can have a new life. We don’t do the bulk of the work – we give that to the only one who can.

He gives us what we need to take his message to all corners of the world. Sometimes God will allow us to see the transformation of others. However,  we know that one person plants the seeds and another gathers the harvest. So we may not see anything when we plant seeds; But we can look at the harvest, hear the testimonies.

Abstinence and the rose colored glasses of “if it feels good”

Delaware Liberal made the following ad-hominem

To the myopic abortion industrial complex on the right (that needs to keep birth control and safe sex information away from teens in order to protect their vacation homes and private jets)

I am calling it an ad-hominem because what else would you call a statement related to abstinence when the rest of the content is about Mike Castle’s record on promoting the culture of death?

Mike is not keeping his position under wraps on his house.gov site he says:

Stem Cell Research – Rep. Castle is the House architect of the Congressional effort to expand federal stem cell research policy. He authored The Stem Cell Research Enhancement Act, which has been vetoed twice by President Bush. He advocates for expanding scientific research in regenerative medicine and believes that biomedical advancements in treatment and prevention of diabetes, Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, and certain forms of cancer should be actively pursued. Rep. Castle has also supported legislation to establish strict ethical guidelines for such research and also an effort to create a nationwide cord blood registry for donated umbilical cord blood for treatment and research.

In between the lines, Mike makes no distinction between adult and embryonic stem cells. Adult stem cells have actually helped people and were supported by Bush. Embryonic stem cells have helped nobody, kill undeveloped humans and cause cancer to those who cannibalize them.

I digress to talk about abstinence:

Lets look at one of the favorite liberal tactics to show the danger of AIDS; when people come in they give everybody a card (don’t tell them what it means) tell them to go mingle, shake hands, over at the water cooler before the meeting begins. Having walked in and asked if abstinence was to be discussed with the predictable result of being mocked – I did not participate in their mingling.

When the meeting began they explained the meaning of the cards. Cards that had a red spot represented AIDS; they tracked who those people shook hands with until everybody except for myself had AIDS. Ironically they made my point better than if I had spoken.

Knowing how this works I would abstain again; wouldn’t you? Some I suspect may suggest gloves, which only work some of the time.

If the problem is studied, it is very clear, the effect of abstinence reduces Aids and casual sex increases it.

Sex is also involved in the long term bonding between married couples. In a study published on ICR:

Research shows that if he has intercourse with multiple partners, the bonded feeling is dissipated, eventually imperiling a man’s ability to form long-term attachments.

And most people already know where babies come from. One would be foolish to suggest that those who refrain from sex outside of marriage that they would have children outside of marriage.

Now lets return to abortion. Would abstinence from sex remove the need for abortion? Well of course.

The question comes down to what people think “you” will do. The liberal worldview is that “you” can not control your desires. The Christian worldview is that “you” can. Who is right? Do you, can you, practice self control?

That strawman who is rich does not exist

To the myopic abortion industrial complex on the right (that needs to keep birth control and safe sex information away from teens in order to protect their vacation homes and private jets)

Nobody is advocating for less information. What is advocated is that eduction includes abstinence. This is not for selfish reasons; nobody gets rich when somebody does not harm themselves. It is a gift to society.
